CLIMATE CHANGE: EXTREME WEATHER

Educational children's PSA on climate change and its effects on the weather

I was tasked with creating a personal project for my internship at Project Design Co. I wanted to create a cohesive, yet easily understandable, PSA video on extreme weather as a result of climate change. I wanted a stop motion feeling with bright primary colors to appeal to the age demographic. I also needed a script to work from as well as concise, accessible story telling methods to ensure the crucial message is heard.
DURATION:  10 weeks
DELIVERABLES: PSA video, storyboard, script

CLIENT: Project Design Co.
AUDIENCE
The audience was elementary aged children (6-11 years old). I wanted to address children who have probably never heard of climate change, as well as those who were more familiar either from learning in school or online. I crafted the elements to look hand crafted as children commonly do themselves.
Challenges
The younger audience meant I had to find a carful balance between being informative and fun and driving the importance of the issue home. I didn't want to confuse or scare anyone.
